- You acknowledge and understand this is a legal HAM radio, which operates on the amateur radio 2M and 70cm frequencies (VHF/UHF). Listening in on frequencies does not require an FCC license, however, you agree and acknowledge that transmitting requires an FCC amateur radio license, unless due to certain exceptions outlined in the FCC's amateur radio rules. For that reason, if you are unlicensed, this radio is for emergency use and listening purposes only.
- This radio specifically is certified for the amateur radio bands with FCC ID: 2AU74UV-S9. It will not operate on GMRS bands, MURS bands, or any other frequency that requires special FCC certification. It is NOT being marketed as such and can not be operated on those frequencies without you unlocking these. Doing so you accept full responsibility for this.
- You acknowledge that receiving transmissions that are further than a few miles will require the use of a repeater or a linked-repeater. For global communications, ECHO link or something similar will be required.
General Terms:
- You agree to hold Rapid Consulting LLC and MyEmergencyRadio.com and it's owners and affiliates harmless from any liabilities that should occur by using, owning, or purchasing this radio. You agree to indemnify them, hold them harmless, and waive all rights to complaints, lawsuits, and any other possible legal issues. You agree that Rapid Consulting is not responsible for any civil or criminal penalties with the FCC or any other legal entity.

Eligibility for Refunds
- You may be eligible for a 100% refund if the item is returned in its original condition, within 30 calendar days.
- For items returned outside of 30 calendar days, there will be a restocking fee as covered below.
- Refunds are also available for defective or damaged items. If you receive a defective product, please contact us within 7 business days of delivery for assistance.
- If your order was delivered incorrectly (wrong product, wrong quantity, etc.), please reach out within 7 business days of receiving the order.
Return Process
To return an item, follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Reach out to our customer service team at [email protected] with your order number and a description of the issue.
- Return Authorization: You will be provided with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.
- Ship the Product: Return the item in its original packaging to the address provided. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees unless the item was defective or an error was made on our part.
- Inspection: Once the returned item is received, it will be inspected to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria.
Refund Processing
- After approval, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.
Exchanges
If you prefer an exchange rather than a refund, please notify us within 7 business days of receiving your order. We will guide you through the process and ensure your replacement product is sent promptly.
Damaged or Defective Products
If your product arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us within 7 business days upon receipt of your order.
- Provide pictures or video evidence of the damage or defect to expedite processing.
- We will either issue a refund or send a replacement based on your preference.
Restocking Fee Policy
At Rapid Radios, we stand behind the quality of our products and strive to ensure customer satisfaction. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it 30 calendar days from shipment receipt for a refund or exchange.

Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of 30% will apply to all returned items if not returned within 30 calendar days. This fee helps cover the costs associated with inspecting, repackaging, and restocking returned products. Returns received within 30 calendar days will receive a 100% refund per our satisfaction guarantee policy - unless the items show damage. A restocking fee only applies if received outside of the 30 calendar days.
- Conditions for Return:
- The product must be returned in its original condition, and with all original packaging and accessories.
- Items that have been damaged, altered, or show signs of use beyond normal handling will not be eligible for a refund.
- Exclusions:
- The restocking fee does not apply to products that are defective or damaged during shipping, or if the wrong product was received.
- Custom or personalized items are not eligible for return under the satisfaction guarantee.
